“Fast fashion” is very similar, but in relation to the world of clothing. If you really think about it, the days of tailors and clothes that are made to last are gone. Most of us buy cheap, mass-produced outfits which might cost us little money, but at a deeper cost for the environment.
Greed, profit-mongering, as well as environmental disasters and waste are only some of the main problems caused by the fashion industry as a whole. In fact, clothing manufacturing leads to really high levels of pollutions.
Thankfully, there are some companies who are starting to embrace fair trade, sustainable fashion, and you can support them by purchasing their products, instead of mass-consumerism fashion items! Too many people work in poor conditions, or even die for fashion, being victims of this industry: it’s time to stop the cycle!
