The International Labour Organisation estimates there are 152 million child labourers and 24.9 million victims of forced labour. Whether it’s the cotton woven into our shirts or the raw minerals in our electronic devices or even our food, the products we buy are often made by people that are underpaid, overworked, under aged and enslaved. If we knew what the true cost of our bargains were, would we still buy them?

Gymea Baptist Church (GBC) is hosting its seventh FAIR TRADE NIGHT MARKET (5-9pm, Friday 2nd November 2018) with over 20 stallholders selling a globally sourced range of unique clothes, homewares, toys, jewellery, craft, food and more. Buying Fair Trade ensures the people behind the products receive a living wage, safe working conditions and hope to break the cycle of poverty. This market supports Fair Trade projects and transforms communities in over 30 nations, such as Peru, India, Cambodia, Madagascar, Nepal, Uganda, Myanmar and Mexico. There will also be live music, plus food and drinks available to purchase.

There's millions of reasons to support Fair Trade... so join us and be the change!
